Zamfara State Governmen has imposed a dust-to-dawn curfew on Jangede town, Talata Mafara local government area of the state with effect from Wednesday, 3rd of March.<\/div>\n

The State Commissioner for Information,\u00a0 Sulaiman Tunau Anka made this known on Wednesday, in a statement signed and made available to newsmen where he said the decision became necessary to prevent further breach of peace.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
According to the statement, “there is strong discovered evidence of Market activities in the town that aid and abet bandits activities in the town and neighbouring communities. Consequently, all market activities in the town are hereby suspended until further notice.\u2019<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n
The state government it emphasized, is poised at “ensuring the safety of lives and properties of its citizens at all cost.\u2019\u2019<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Zamfara state Police Command is by this announcement therefore\u00a0enjoined to ensure total enforcement. The statement ended.<\/div>\n

However , our correspondent gathered that the decision was not unconnected to the unfortunate civil disobedience that took place at Jangebe town after the return of the released abducted school children, which led to the shooting of a resident that is already hospitalized.<\/div>\n

Also, that residents were not happy with the pace with which the state government handled the case of the abducted female school children of Government Girls Science Secondary School Jangebe.<\/div>\n
