Parents have been tasked to take the discipline of their children more seriously as most vices committed by youth is linked to poor parenting.<\/div>\n

This call was made at the 26th Annual End of Ramadan Lecture organised by the Federation Of Muslim Women’s Associations In Nigeria (FOMWAN).<\/div>\n

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the occasion, the Emir of Birnin Gwari, Zubairu Jibril Mai Gwari 11, called on children to follow the part of Allah. They should\u00a0 always listen to their parents<\/div>\n
saying, the\u00a0key to paradise lies with their parents.<\/div>\n

Emphasing he said,\u00a0” Allah has\u00a0decreed in the Quran that only HIM and HiM alone is worthy of worship and has also emphasized the need for children to adopt good behaviour with their parents.\u201d<\/div>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/IMG_20210511_59319-300x225.jpg\")

Exhibiting good behavior as stated in the Quran and the teachings of the Holy Prophet SAW he said will not only earn the children peace of mind but love of their parents.<\/div>\n

The Chief Lecturer, Mallam Yusha’u Hanafi Jibril of Federal University Gusau dwelling on the topic of the lecture, ”.<\/div>\n

inculcating the right displine and up bringing in Children as commanded by Allah SWA ” said the greater percentage of the decadence in the society today is caused by the negligence on the part of\u00a0 the parents saying, it all starts from home.<\/div>\n
Parents he said have little or no time for their children.<\/div>\n

They are rather preoccupied by worldly things at the expense of their children’s\u00a0 well being.<\/div>\n

\u201cMany of us focus all our lives on business and money making than our children, take it or leave it every parent shall be responsible for their children misdeeds in the hereafter. He warned.<\/div>\n

Lamenting, the University Don said the aftermath is what we are witnessing today where youth are engaging in one form of crime or the other. He attributed lack of parental care as reason for the high rate of social vices and crime committed by the youths in the society.<\/div>\n

While urging parents to live up to their responsibilities he described the mother as an important agent of change in the life of the child as she is the one who has carried the child in the womb for 9months as such should try to imbibe good values in the child.<\/div>\n

The foundation the mother gives to a child is of paramount importance in his life urging the women not to shy away from their responsibility of child upbringing.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the same vain, the lecturer charged the fathers not to rest on their owls. They should as much as possible discharge their responsibilities as fathers even though the tasks rest more on the mothers.<\/div>\n

Commissioner Women affairs, Hafsat Baba Mohammed pointed out that in as much as mother are supposedly the closest friend of the child, the men should not shun their responsibilities as the head of the family.<\/div>\n

\u00a0It is important for fathers to ensure that things go well in the home as the responsibility of bringing up a child is supposed to be a joint task. Many fathers she said are found wanting in this task.<\/div>\n

She called on husbands to always support their wives as their are situations where the father has to take charge.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The increasing wave of crime in the society is of great concern he said stating that there is the need to have a mindset towards finding solutions to\u00a0 the increasing waves of crime in the society.<\/div>\n

Earlier in her welcome speech, Kaduna State Amira of FOMWAN, Pharm. Aisha Isyaku Tukur explained that it is the tradition of the Association to always\u00a0 Organise end of Ramadan Lecture to look into burning issues.<\/div>\n
She described the home as the first place where the child is expected to receive his training as such parents should be able to imbibe good values in their children as they grow up.\u00a0 Such she said would help build a better society.<\/div>\n

She however charged the husbands to as parents work together to give the best to the children.<\/div>\n
It will go a long way in curbing the increasing rate of decadence in the society. She stressed.<\/div>\n

Goodwill messages delivered all emphasized on the need for collaborative efforts of all stakeholders to be able to nib the problem on the board.<\/div>\n
