Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation\u00a0 will be holding its annual lecture\/award in Kaduna.<\/p>\n

The Managing Director\/ CEO, Sir Ahmadu\u00a0 Bello Memorial\u00a0 Foundation,<\/div>\n
Engr. Abubakar Gambo Umar disclosed this to newsmen during a courtesy visit to Nigeria Union of Journalists\u00a0 (NUJ) Secretariat, Kaduna on Tuesday, 25th, 2021.<\/div>\n

Engr. Abubakar Gambo Umar who led the delegation said the team was in NUJ to seek collaboration as no organization\u00a0 can work successfully in issolation of the press.<\/div>\n

Two prominent Nigerians, a male and\u00a0 a female he said will be given awards.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
“Our awards are always given to people who have already achieved\u00a0 and retired. You\u00a0 have done\u00a0 your best,\u00a0 you have contributed your quota to national development. So, as you retire, we look for you and we award you.” Award will be given to a male and a female. He stated.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Responding, Council\u00a0 Chairman,\u00a0 Nigeria Union\u00a0 of Journalists\u00a0 Kaduna,\u00a0 Comrade Adamu Yusuf\u00a0thanked the management\u00a0 of Sir\u00a0Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation for commending\u00a0Kaduna journalists saying, the\u00a0 Council expresses\u00a0 readiness to partner the foundation in moving the affairs of the foundation\u00a0 and state forward.<\/div>\n

While assuring the foundation\u00a0 of a healthy collaboration, Comrade Adamu described Kaduna Council as ‘mother’ of all Councils as it has representation of all media houses.<\/div>\n

He made a passionate appeal to the foundation to intervene on the issue of New Nigerian Newspapers that had lingered for so long.<\/div>\n

Retirees of the organization he lamented\u00a0 are going\u00a0 through untold sufferings as a result of backlog of unpaid pension money.<\/div>\n
