Kajuru Emir Abduction: Kaduna Speaker Says It’s A Joke Taken Too Far<\/div>\n

The Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani has described the early Sunday morning abduction of the Emir of Kajuru, Adamu Kajuru and 10 others as a joke taken too far.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He expressed this in a statement signed by his SA Media and Publicity, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, dated July 11, made available to newsmen in Kaduna.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“The news of the abduction of the\u00a0 Emir of Kajuru, Adamu Kajuru, and 10 persons said to be \u201cmembers of his family,\u201d is a joke taken too far and stands condemnable.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Traditional leaders play a key role in ensuring peaceful coexistence and stability of our society, hence the abductors are out to destabilise our society,” it said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Zailani said that In view of his important role in the society, security personnel should track the abductors and ensure all hostages are freed unharmed.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“I appeal for calm from all concerned at this point in time, assuring that our security agencies will act swiftly to ensure their safe return.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It would be recalled that news broke on Sunday morning about the abduction, coming days after 120 students of Bethel Baptist High School and 13 residents of Ungwan Gimbiya in Sabon Tasha were abducted in Kaduna State.<\/div>\n

The Kaduna Police Command through the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Kajuru, Kaduna is in receipt of an unfortunate report on the kidnap of the Chief of Kajuru, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu in the early hours of today 11th July, 2021. The incident occurred about 0234hrs when armed wielding bandits in large numbers invaded Kajuru town, shot sporadically and gained access into the Chief’s residence where they abducted him and ten (10) members of his immediate family to an unknown destination.<\/div>\n
Notwithstanding, the Joint patrol of the Police Mobile Force (PMF), conventional Police and the Nigerian Army attached to Kajuru LGA are currently engaged in search and rescue mission around the forest for a possible rescue of the victims while IGP\u2019s Tactical units have been contacted for technical support.<\/div>\n

The Command is saddened with this incident and it\u2019s not relenting in ensuring lasting solution to current upsurge of criminality in the state.
