The Kaduna State Government has pledged it’s determination to support Kaduna State University, KASU in becoming a great university.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The state government is developing the permanent site and main campus in Rigachukwu.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This was disclosed by the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Governor Ahmed Nasir El-Rufai at the occasion of the Combined, 4th Convocation Ceremony of Kaduna State University held at its Main Campus on Saturday, 25th September, 2021.<\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He said Tertiary quality education requires investment and that government can no longer fund it alone.<\/div>\n
There is need for partnership to make it work.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
El-Rufa is therefore seeking for Government, Parents, and students partnership. The coming together of all to fund education.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n
He noted the vital need to address the relevance of curriculum to model requirements.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Congratulating His Highness,\u00a0Muhammadu Sanusi II for<\/div>\n
his successful installation as the Chancellor of University of KASU, his appointment as Chancellor he said\u00a0has started yielding fruitful results as new innovations are taking place.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Your Highness, your appointment has added a plus to our education. We congratulate you. This is the beginning of great things happening in Kaduna State\u00a0 University.<\/div>\n

“I wish to express our gratitude on behalf of the government and people of Kaduna state to you , your Highness for accepting our invitation to serve as the Chancellor of Kaduna State University.<\/div>\n

Governor El- Rufai commended the management of KASU for their good job.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Speaking, the Minister of Finance, Hajiya Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed who received a Doctorate Award on behalf of herself and four others thanked the institution for the recognition.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Hajiya Zainab described education as a vital instrument needed for a country’s development.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n
She charged the graduating students to use their potentials in developing humanity.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“We call on the graduates graduating today to realize their full potentials for the development of humanity.<\/div>\n
We are convinced that the work of institutions like the Kaduna State University and other universities will continue to support and expand the nation’s education constrains to meet the needs of the minimum.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Zainab thanked the executives of KASU for their initiative while hoping that\u00a0 more achievements will be recorded.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Earlier in his address, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Muhammad Tanko while opening up on some of the institution’ s achievements<\/div>\n
commended Governor Ahmed El-rufai’s efforts.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
The institution he said has keyed into his vision and up and doing in making it the pride of the state.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n
\n
“Your Excellency Sir, I like to inform you that we have keyed into your vision of providing more than edged courses that will produce graduates that will be skilled and therefore self-employed. We achieved it by introducing courses like Biotechnology, Geophysics and Cyber Security. We have also championed the development of Benchmark for the National Universities Commission (NUC) in the area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“So far, we have secured various trainings for our staff that will enhance their capacity: amongst which are the University of California On-line Training and the MOOC versions of Bending the Curve, Louisiana State University on On-line Course Delivery, and many other trainings that will help to shape the capacities of the staff of the University.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Professor Tanko also appreciated the<\/div>\n
contributions of the University’s Chancellor, His Highness, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II, CON, the<\/div>\n
\n
14th Emir of Kano whose innovations he said has given the institution a new sense of direction.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

“I wish to acknowledge His Highness, the<\/div>\n
Chancellor of this University on the IBM training he facilitated for the staff of the University. Your Excellency, these trainings have yielded a lot of results because of our Research and Journal Funds with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) that have not been accessed since the establishment of the University, have now been utilized. Not only that, we have secured 2 NIRF Research fund, and many others.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“I like to also acknowledge the State Government and the Honourable Commissioner of Education on the Digitalization of Higher Institutions of learning in the State. This has also helped the staff in various training sessions.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\"\"<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n
“The University, as of now has Twelve Faculties, Two Colleges, Two Schools, 61 Postgraduate Programmes, Thirty-Five Undergraduate Programmes, Four Research Centres, Two Institutes and a number of other Academic Support Units.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
The Chancellor of the University, Muhmmadu Sanusi ll, presented the awards to the awardees for contributing to humanity and their selfless services.<\/div>\n

\"\" \"\"<\/div>\n
\n
Altogether, three sets of students graduated. The undergraduates, post graduates as well as the conferment of Honorary degree and Doctorate degrees to some deserving Nigerians.<\/div>\n
