Comrade Sahura Jibrin Maidoki of the Kaduna State Media Cooperation, KSMC was sworn in as the new Chairperson of Nigeria Women Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ, Kaduna.<\/div>\n

She was sworn in along side her executives by the National President NAWOJ, Comrade Aisha\u00a0 Ibrahim at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat Kaduna.<\/div>\n

The Zonal Vice President NAWOJ, Comrade Rabi Gwadabawa ably represented by her Zonal\u00a0 Secretary, Comrade Daharatu Ahmed congratulating the new Exco had in her welcome address appreciated NAWOJ president’s physical presence.<\/p>\n

Her presence she recognised as an honour\u00a0 not only to NAWOJIANS but the council itself.<\/p>\n

Speaking, National President NAWOJ, Comrade Aisha lbrahim commended NUJ Kaduna Council for it supportive role. She pledged for a continuous partnership to take NAWOJ to greater heights.<\/p>\n

Aisha giving an insight into her administration’s achievements and challenges promised to do all within her powers to keep NAWOJ chapters peaceful and united across the states.<\/p>\n

She urged the executives to lead by example, showing fairness and love for the growth of the association.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0 president was accompanied by the former VP NAWOJ Zone A, Comrade Halima Musa and the National Secretary, NAWOJ, Comrade Wasila Ladan.<\/p>\n

National Secretary NAWOJ appreciating the executives wished them a smooth tenure.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Former NUJ Zone A Vice President, Comrade Yusuf ldris,\u00a0 Former NUJ Kaduna Council Chairman, Comrade Adamu Yusuf, President, Sports Writers Association SWAN, Comrade Isaiah Benjamin, and the Deputy Director, Kaduna State Media Cooperation Hajiya Farida Abubakar, in their separate goodwill messages\u00a0 commended the leadership role of NAWOJ President.<\/p>\n

They enjoined the newly sworn in executives to lead by example as they wished them a successful tenure.<\/p>\n

Chairman NUJ Comrade Abdulgafar Alabelewe congratulated NAWOJ Kaduna Chapter for its activities. He pledged the council’s continuous support to NAWOJ.<\/p>\n

Abdulgafar commended the leadership role of NAWOJ president which he said have been very encouraging.<\/p>\n

President Rotary Club, Metro Kaduna, Lukman Tayo Babatunde was there to wish them success.<\/p>\n

Responding, the newly sworn in NAWOJ Chairperson, Comrade Sahura Jibrin Maidoki thanked NAWOJ president and her team and everyone that made the occasion possible.<\/p>\n

She appreciated the leadership of NAWOJ president for maintaining peace and stability across all the chapters of the association.<\/p>\n

She stressed on the issue of capacity building which will be her administration’s area of focus.<\/p>\n

“Capacity building will remain our focus. We promise to strengthen partnership with media organisations, government agencies and others.<\/p>\n

“As your chairperson, l pledge to listen to your concerns, aspirations and valuable ideas that will bring about positive change”.<\/p>\n

Sahura promised to carry everyone along for the growth of the association.<\/p>\n

The new Chairperson took over the mantle of leadership from Comrade Fatima Aliyu of the Federal Radio Cooperation of Nigeria FRCN.<\/p>\n

The occasion was witnessed by members, families and friends who came to wish them a successful tenure in their new dispensation.<\/p>\n
