A solemn atmosphere enveloped family members, friends and members of the Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) during the third-day Fidau prayer held in honour of the late Alhaji Murtala Anijolaegbon, father of former NASFAT Kaduna Main Branch Public Relations Secretary, Hajiya Lateefah Yusuf.<\/p>\n

Delivering the sermon, Imam Qarib reminded Muslims that the only enduring legacy after death is a life filled with righteous deeds, urging the faithful to prepare for the hereafter through sincerity, generosity and obedience to Allah.<\/p>\n

He described the late Alhaji Murtala Anijolaegbon as a man known for kindness and devotion to the service of humanity and Islam, noting that his good works were evident in both his relationships with people and his commitment to the mosque.<\/p>\n

“We need to prepare for the hereafter. Live this worldly life with the consciousness that one day we will all return to Allah. While many people fear death, they pay little attention to avoiding the sins prohibited by Allah,” he said.<\/p>\n

Imam Qarib revealed that the deceased had been saving money towards a project for his mosque but passed away before realising the dream.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to him, the late Alhaji had saved about \u20a6188,000 for the planned project and appealed to his children to consider fulfilling their father’s wish by adding to the amount and undertaking a meaningful project in the mosque as a lasting charity on his behalf.<\/div>\n

He further cautioned against the pursuit of unlawful wealth, stressing that true worth lies not in outward appearance but in the purity of one’s heart and the good deeds one leaves behind.<\/div>\n

“There is no hiding place when death comes. No matter who a person is, everyone will eventually return to Allah. What matters is the good we do while we are alive,” he said.<\/div>\n

The cleric also urged the children of the deceased to sustain their father’s legacy of kindness, care for their mother, seek their parents’ blessings and continue performing acts that would earn Allah’s pleasure.<\/div>\n

Other speakers at the gathering paid glowing tributes to the late Alhaji Murtala Anijolaegbon, describing him as a humble, generous and God-fearing man whose impact would continue to be remembered.<\/div>\n

In their remarks, the family expressed appreciation to the Islamic scholars, friends, well-wishers and sympathisers who attended the Fidau prayer and stood by them during their period of mourning.<\/div>\n
Present were missioners from\u00a0 other NASFAT branches. Imam Mustapha Abdulkareem, missioner from NASFAT Kaduna main branch offered words of comfort and admonition to the family and the congregation.<\/div>\n
