{"id":406,"date":"2024-04-15T12:30:51","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T12:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/lifestyle\/?p=406"},"modified":"2024-04-15T12:30:51","modified_gmt":"2024-04-15T12:30:51","slug":"boat-mishap-actors-guild-of-nigeria-suspends-nollywood-producer-another-side-of-life-bans-movie-shoots-in-riverine-areas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsreservoir.com\/lifestyle\/2024\/04\/15\/boat-mishap-actors-guild-of-nigeria-suspends-nollywood-producer-another-side-of-life-bans-movie-shoots-in-riverine-areas\/","title":{"rendered":"Boat mishap: Actors Guild of Nigeria suspends Nollywood producer, &#8216;Another side of Life&#8217;   &#8230; bans movie shoots in Riverine areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Boat mishap: Actors Guild of Nigeria suspends Nollywood producer, &#8216;Another side of Life&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; bans movie shoots in Riverine areas<\/p>\n<p>Zainab Tanimu<\/p>\n<p>Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria<\/p>\n<p>The producer of Nollywood Movie, &#8216;Another side of Life&#8217;, Adamma Luke<\/p>\n<p>has been suspended indefinitely.<\/p>\n<p>No actor is allowed to work with her as producer till further notice.<\/p>\n<p>The suspension came after the ill-fated boat mishap which occured at the riverine area during a movie cast that led to the death of Nollywood actor, Junior Pope, and others.<\/p>\n<p>This decision was contained in a statement signed by Actors\u00a0 Guild of Nigeria&#8217;s (AGN) president, Emeka Rollas on Thursday as outraged\u00a0 Nigerians especially Nollywood fans believe the incident was preventable if safety checks had been in place during the shooting.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In a statement suspending Luke, producer of the ill-fated movie, the AGN also placed an indefinite ban on all movie shoots involving riverine areas and boat rides in the country.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to the statement; \u201cThe leadership of the Guild has taken the following decisions: (1) All films that involve riverine areas and boat riding are at this moment suspended indefinitely; and (2) no shoot on all locations Nationwide on Thursday, 11 April 2024\u201d.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Furthermore, the statement emphasized, \u201c(3)The film titled \u2018Another Side of Life\u2019 is suspended indefinitely; (4) No actor is allowed to work with Adamma Luke as a producer till further notice; and (5) While we keep searching for the bodies of the remaining persons, may their souls rest in peace.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Meanwhile, the Anambra State Police Command has confirmed recovering three more bodies from the boat mishap involving a movie cast that Nollywood star Junior Pope Odonwodo got drowned on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Boat mishap: Actors Guild of Nigeria suspends Nollywood producer, &#8216;Another side of Life&#8217; &#8230; bans movie shoots in Riverine areas Zainab Tanimu Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria The producer of Nollywood Movie, &#8216;Another side of Life&#8217;, Adamma Luke has been suspended indefinitely.
