Team of religious leaders from Nigeria were on a conference and peer to peer study tour in Cairo, Egypt to source more\u00a0 knowledge and ways to address the issues of gender Based Violence and Haram; looking at,”the lslamic perspective of protecting Women and Girls.<\/p>\n

The delegations was led by the Commissioner, Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, Kaduna State, Hajiya Rabi Salisu.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The conference which took place on the 21st of August, 2024 in the office of the newly appointed Grand Mufty of Al-Azhar Egypt, Cairo altogether had 12 delegates in all. Six from Kaduna and the other six from Kano.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Delegates from Kaduna were, the DG, Bureau for Interfaith,\u00a0 Kaduna, Bar. Tahir Umar,\u00a0 Shaik Bashir Tahir Bauch,\u00a0 Chief Imam Yanlilo Mosque, T\/wada, Dr. Khamis,\u00a0 Zonal\/Imam NASFAT, Kaduna, Shaik Marooph Raji and FORMWAN Amirah, Haj. Hadiza Umar.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Among Kano delegates were, Hon. Awwal Tijani, Commissioner, Religious Affairs, Kano, Hon. Commissioner, Women Affairs Kano, Hajiya Aisha Lawal.<\/p>\n
