APC Bigwig Hakeem Baba –Ahmed Dumps Party

…Says, Party underperformed

Kaduna State pioneer APC Chairman and Chief of Staff to Senate President, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has resigned his membership from the party.

The party he said cannot be trusted or encouraged to continue to govern Nigeria beyond 2019.

Dr. Baba-Ahmed ‎who announced his resignation in Kaduna at a press conference held on Monday said though the decision to quit the party was a difficult one considering the role he played in the formation and it growth but was left with no choice because after three years, the party he said  has grossly underperformed.

He therefore has forfeited any claim to his loyalty and continued membership.

Speaking further, Dr. Baba-Ahmed who is also a former Chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), said that his decision to dump APC has nothing to do with the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki but a personal decision taken after due consultations with the APC Akida Group, which predated his appointment as Chief of Staff to the Senate President.

The APC chieftain however reiterated his firm desire to remain in active politics. He stressed on the need to salvage our nation from rising insecurity, poverty and bitter division.

According to Dr. Baba-Ahmed, he did not dump the APC with the intent to join any party.
