Residents of Rigasa give kudos to El-Rufai

It is true the saying that seeing is believing. The Media tour embarked upon by the Nigeria Union of Journalist council (NUJ) to ascertain governor El-Rufai’s administration achievements is actually yielding fruits as many things are being brought to light.

The residents of Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State have expressed joy over the dualization of their major road. They had commended governor El-Rufai for a job well done. They had never had it so good they said.

This they disclosed to the team of reporters led by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna State council who were there on Tuesday on an assessment tour of government projects.

The dualization of their road and other projects would go a long way in easing their problems . They added.

One of the residents , Umar Hamshaki, expressing satisfaction over governor El-Rufai’s performance told our reporter that for his 35yrs of stay in Rigasa,  Kaduna State has never had a governor like el-Rufai.

“We have never elected a governor like el-Rufai.  This is the kind of Governor we need in Kaduna State”.

He said, they are happy with the dualization of the  major road and other project. Adding that compensations have been given to those whose buildings were demolished for the expansion of the road.

Commending the governor, Lawal Monzinga who had also been in the area for long drew the attention of government to the drainage being constructed which he said needed to be expanded in order to serve them better.

“It overflows whenever it rains”. He said. We appeal for rehabilitation of the road going to Bilya it is in bad shape,” he added.

The Special Assistant to Commissioner Planning and Budget Commission, Adamu  Hayatu explained that the road dualization which terminates at the train station which commenced in December 2016, has reached the advance stage, assuring that it would be completed before May 29, 2018.

Concerning challenges, he said it has been surmounted.

“We had issues with compensation, relocation of electric poles,” he said.

Hayatu explained that besides the dualization of eight kilometres road, they also have 20 km link roads being constructed in the area, they are also planning to put solar street lights He said..

According to the residents, the dualization of their road and other project would go a long way in easing their problems . They added.

They said come 2019, “we are looking forward to reelecting Governor El-Rufai”.
