RAMADAN, 3 DAYS TO GO INSHA ALLAH  … make up your missed fast

Are you one of those still owing the 2025 Ramadan fast? Make up your missed Ramadan fast as that is best in the sight of Allah.

Making up missed fasts (known as Qada) is a vital, obligatory, and highly virtuous act in Islam for any Muslim who missed one or more days of Ramadan fasting due to valid reasons such as illness, travel, menstruation, pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Fulfilling this obligation is essentially considered a “debt” to Allah that must be repaid to maintain spiritual integrity and complete the religious pillars.

The Quran specifically commands that those who are ill or on a journey should make up for the missed days: “…then [let them fast] an equal number of days [after Ramadan]” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185).

Making up fasts offers an opportunity for continued spiritual growth, discipline, and earning rewards, allowing one to maintain the spiritual momentum of Ramadan throughout the year.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Allah loves to see His servant make up his missed obligatory acts of worship”.

While missing a fast for a valid reason is not a sin, neglecting to make them up before the next Ramadan without a valid reason is considered a sin.

So, brothers and sisters in lslam, you can still pay up your fast. May Allah make it easy for us and accept our worship as an act of ibadah. Ameena.
