PHOTO NEWS: GENDER BASED VIOLENCE
Team of religious leaders from Nigeria were on a conference and peer to peer study tour in Cairo, Egypt to source more knowledge and ways to address the issues of gender Based Violence and Haram; looking at,”the lslamic perspective of protecting Women and Girls.
The delegations was led by the Commissioner, Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, Kaduna State, Hajiya Rabi Salisu.
The conference which took place on the 21st of August, 2024 in the office of the newly appointed Grand Mufty of Al-Azhar Egypt, Cairo altogether had 12 delegates in all. Six from Kaduna and the other six from Kano.
Delegates from Kaduna were, the DG, Bureau for Interfaith, Kaduna, Bar. Tahir Umar, Shaik Bashir Tahir Bauch, Chief Imam Yanlilo Mosque, T/wada, Dr. Khamis, Zonal/Imam NASFAT, Kaduna, Shaik Marooph Raji and FORMWAN Amirah, Haj. Hadiza Umar.
Among Kano delegates were, Hon. Awwal Tijani, Commissioner, Religious Affairs, Kano, Hon. Commissioner, Women Affairs Kano, Hajiya Aisha Lawal.
