NASFAT YOUTH CONFERENCE: YOUTH CONVERGE ON KANO, CHARTS WAYFORWARD

The 17th NASFAT Youth Conference with the theme, Poverty, Wealth, and Social Responsibility: Empowering Youth for Change.” has already commenced.

The five-day event, which will run until September 16, 2024, aims to inspire and equip Muslim youths with skills for socio-economic development, leadership, and community engagement.
A key highlight of the conference was a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
NASFAT National Youth Secretary Bro. Tajudeen Olasupo, speaking on behalf of the youth wing, sought the Emir’s support in promoting youth initiatives aligned with Islamic values and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Emir, during the visit was decorated as an ambassador for NASFAT’s SDG project.

The NASFAT leadership, including President Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, Chief Missioner Imam Maroofdeen Onike AbdulAzeez, and National Women Affairs Secretary Alhaja Ganiyat Omowunmi Babalola, are expected to engage with the youth in Kano.
Also present in Kano to support the youth is the Zonal Youth Secretary, NASFAT Kaduna, Brother Ibrahim Omotosho.
Their attendance underscores NASFAT’s commitment to fostering youth empowerment across Northern Nigeria youth.
To embody the theme of social responsibility, the youth delegates also organized a citywide clean-up initiative in Kano. This environmental effort is part of NASFAT’s broader vision to encourage community service and sustainability among young Muslims.

Speaking on the objectives of the conference, Bro. Tajudeen Olasupo emphasized the importance of education, entrepreneurship, and leadership in shaping the future of Nigerian youth. The conference features workshops and seminars focused on wealth creation, poverty reduction, and spiritual growth.

NASFAT continues to strengthen its presence in Northern Nigeria, with recent visits by the NASFAT President aimed at enhancing the organization’s footprint in the region.
Yesterday, Friday 13th September, 2024,
the youth wing held a special Jumu’at service at the NASFAT Kano Central Mosque.

The service saw the attendance of several key figures from NASFAT, including the Society President, Alhaji Rauf Ayodeji, who addressed the congregation immediately following the Jumu’at prayers.
Appreciating NASFAT Youth Wing for their efforts in championing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through various impactful projects, he encouraged them to continue being exemplary ambassadors of the NASFAT community as they carry forward the values of NASFAT in their deliberations.
He emphasized on the importance of brotherhood and unity among Muslims, saying , the spirit of togetherness has been central to NASFAT’s operations for years and continues to be a guiding principle of the society.
Alhaji Ayodeji highlighted NASFAT’s contributions to the well-being of Muslims across Nigeria, stating that the organization has spent over ₦800 million in the past year to support Muslims nationwide through one of the notable initiative of the society NASZAZ Program, which has made a significant impact in supporting the society’s objectives.
