GUNMEN ABDUCT RESIDENTS IN ABUJA

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have invaded one of the estates in Abuja.
Residents in Gwarinpa Estate in the Federal Capital Territory FCT were said to be under siege as operation lasted for hours and some residents whisked away to unknown destination.
According to Daily Trust’s report , it learnt that the gunmen operated on the estate between 1am to 4am abducting yet -to-be identified number of residents.
Even though details remain sketchy, a resident who identified himself as Mohammed explained to Daily Trust’s correspondent on phone that the gunmen gained access to Genuine Estate after Efab Queens on 6th Avenue Gwarinpa.
The hoodlums he said were armed with bows, arrows and natchets and were in large numbers.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the FCT police Command, Josephine Adeh told Daily Trust that the case was a robbery case.
Adeh, a Deputy Superintendent of Police said that police had already been mobilized to the scene to ascertain how the incident happened.
She promised that the public would be duly notified after details of the incident had been ascertained.
