Northern Group Salutes Kwarans On Democracy Day, Seeks Support For Gov. AbdulRasaq

The leader of Arewa Solidarity Group ( ASG ), Isa Ahmed, has saluted Kwarans and Nigerians as the country marks its 23 years of democratic day on June 12.
According to the leader of the group in a statement made available on Sunday, he noted that the day represents a milestone in a democratic journey of the nation.
In the statement titled the ‘ The Journey of Our Dear Country’, Ahmed stressed the need for equity, fairness and tolerance amongst Nigerians.
“The events of June 12, 1993 heralded the longest period of democracy enjoyed by the country, in its history,” ASG leader explained.
The statement also highlighted efforts by the AbdulRasaq led administration to providing dividends of democracy to the teeming population of the state.
The leader of the group said that the focus of the present administration in Kwara state has earned government commendations from the Nigeria public.
” It’s on this note that we are calling on Kwarans not to be deceived by politicians who do not have anything to offer to the state. So, we are calling on the youths and old ones in the state to support the second term bid of Governor AbdulRasaq,” Ahmed explained.
