Foundation Donates learning Material to 101 Almajiris in Chikum / Kaduna North
The sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Memorial Foundation (SABMF) has donated leaning materials to one hundred and ten Almajiris in Chikun and Kaduna north local government area of the state.
In an interview with the newsmen on Tuesday  the Director General of the Foundation, Engr Gambo Umar explained that the donation was part of efforts to transform the Tsangaya system of Education in the Country.
He appealed to government and stakeholders to provide enabling environment for Tsangaya system of Education so as to reduce the numbers of Almajiris roaming the streets.
The Director General said this will sanitise the aged long Tsangaya system of Education which has been infiltrated over a period of time.
According to him, the Foundation in its quest to right the wrong doing in the system of Education across the nineteen northern states, emphasised that all stakeholders must contribute towards achieving the overall objective.
He said the foundation deem it fit to contribute it own quarter towards improving future of the Almajiris and their Mallams.
On his part, the Chairman Tsangaya Forum in Kaduna State, Imam Buhari Mararraban Jos applauded the Foundation for the gesture.
He said infusing the western education into the Tsangaya system will assist the Almajiris to achieve their goals in the  future endeavours.
The two benefited Tsangaya school were in Danbushiya and Unguwar Kanawa kaduna.
