Kaduna Veteran Journalist Mr Andrew Fadason Becomes Galadiman Gbagyi

While conferring the title on him, the Esu Chikun said the conferment was in recognition of Mr Andrew Fadason’s contribution to the development of the people of Gbagyi Chiefdom.

He tasked the new Galadiman Gbagyi, to follow the footsteps of his late father, Mr. Aboki Abiyi Fadason.

Mr. Aboki Abiyi was the longest serving District Head in Gbagyi Chiefdom, and turbaned Dokaji Zazzau on March 8, 1979 before he was elevated to Galadiman Gbagyi after the creation of Gbagyi Chiefdom.

Speaking to the media shortly after the conferment, the Galadiman Gbagyi explained that in as much as the new title is exciting, the terrain is not completely new to him since he has been part of the system.

He, however, thanked God for the opportunity to serve his people and hoped to do his very best.

As to what to expect in terms of development, he assured his people of redoubling his efforts to move the chiefdom forward.

Infrastructural development and security he described as very paramount as such much attention will be directed towards enhancing peace and unity in the kingdom. Likewise, he will assist in promoting the cultural values of the people. He added.

“We will not shy away from the cultural aspect. We will promote the Gbagyi culture.”

Since the Galadiman Gbagyi is supposed to be the closest to the Esu Chikun and in most occasions, the one that might represent him, it means he has to be conversant with the day-to-day running of the affairs of the Chiefdom.

For those who don’t know, Gbagyi Chiefdom is in Kaduna State.
