UPDATED: Man Allegedly Locked In A Room For 20 Years Receives Medical Treatment

The 67-year-old man locked up in a room for over 20 years in Kaduna who was rescued by the police on Wednesday is presently receiving medical treatment.
NAN reports that, “The Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna State, DSP Mohammed Jalige told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that a thorough investigation would be conducted on the matter.
The police he said had earlier reported to Magajin Gari Police Division and “the Commissioner of Police directed personnel to evacuate the victim.
“He also directed for full scale investigation of the matter to unravel the circumstances surrounding the issue and why the man was kept in isolation for this long,” he added.
Jalige said that the victim, Ibrahim Ado, was first discovered by some environmental health officers under Kaduna North Local Government Area who were in the house on official duty.
According to an eye witness account, “the environmental officers visited to check some beverages stored in the house but discovered a man locked in a room.
“They locked him for almost twenty years.
“He did everything in the room. He was naked.”
“The Man has turned like an animal”
Report has it that, residents of the building fled when a police team arrived the house.
