Kaduna: New Chapel Executives On Board As RTEAN Inaugurates /Swears In Over 100 Officials

One hundred and ninety six newly elected chapel officials of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria RTEAN have been inaugurated and sworn in to run the affairs of the association.
The event which took place at Arewa house Kaduna was witnessed by dignitaries and members from across the 25 Local Government Areas in the state.
Speaking, the Kaduna State Chairman RTEAN, Mallam Adamu Jalaludeen called on its members to be patriotic and vigilant in the discharge of their duties.
He said as patriotic citizens, they should not allow themselves to be used to perpetrate criminal activities.
Jalaludeen stressed on the role of the association in the promotion of peace.
RTEAN he said has keyed into government policy by putting in place security measures to help fight insecurity.
” In addition to these measures also , We have designated mounted vehicles with security men and equipment performing the function of surveillance and monitoring to ensure safer highways for Nigerian travelers.
” It is therefore imperative to prevail on our employees (drivers) to be vigilant , patriotic and above all have the fear of God by ensuring that they’re not used as accessories to perpetrate crime against the state.
He noted that the Association is among the largest employers of labour in the country and that it is doing its best to create job opportunities for the teaming unemployed youths.
In his own address, the representative of Kaduna State Governor, Director Transport Regulatory Authority, Mallam Lawal Musa, while congratulating the newly inaugurated chapel executives informed that the Kaduna State government is implementing many policies that will help transform the transport sector.
He urged the transport employers to always cooperate with security agencies in carrying out their duties.
The Emir of Zazzau Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamali who spoke through Barden Zazzau, Dr. Abbas Mailafiya stressed the need for leaders to be fair, honest and just in their activities. He also harped on the need to always give their followers listening ears in order to enhance peace and development.
The operational committee Chairman, Amb. Muhammed Abubakar Bishara describing the occasion as remarkable said recorded achievements have been made under the present leadership of its national president.
“What is happening now has never happened over so many years ago, which actually indicates the level of achievements recorded within the very short period of time” under the present leadership of its Executive National president, Alb. Dr. Musa Mohammed Maitakobi.
“Since the cardinal focus of the current leadership is to ensure optimal functionality of state across the country, Kaduna State wouldn’t have been an exception, in experiencing its share of development that will further enhance the economic growth of of the state as well as to put sanity, discipline and rule of law in the administration of the chapels.
Amb. Bishara commended the efforts of Governor El- Rufai’s administration in the areas of provision of network of roads across the state which he said has ease mobility.
He charged the newly elected chapel executives to be dedicated and committed to the tasks ahead in order to sustain the tempo of development.
The swearing in of the newly elected chapel executives was officiated by Barrister Suleiman Shaibu.
