Inferno: Ganduje Commiserates With police

The Kano State Governor Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has commiserated with the Nigerian Police authorities over the fire Incident that gutted many offices at the State Police Command Headquarters on Sunday.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Hassan Musa Fagge.
Danguje, represented by his deputy, and Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressive party, Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna visited the Police Headquarters in Bompai Area to ascertain the level of damage.
While expressing sadness over the incidence which he had described as an act of God, he said.
“We were shocked when we received the sad news of the fire disaster. We are here to commiserate with you on behalf of the Government and People of Kano State”.
He urged that preventive measures be put in place to prevent future occurrence of the incident.
The governor while appreciating the efforts of the Fire Service for putting out the fire had assured them of government support as he prayed for non re – occurrence of such catastrophy.
The State Commissioner of Police Alh.Mamman Dauda thanking the state government for its concern over the inferno said they were in the office when the fire started.
Investigation he said is on going to ascertain the cause of the fire outbreak.
Most importantly is that, “There was no loss of life”.
