Cashless Policy:  Buhari Meets APC Governors

President Muhammadu Buhari today met with All Progressive Congress APC governors to discuss some pressing national issues.

It was gathered that the closed door meeting held at the villa was not unconnected with the ongoing fuel scarcity in some part of the country and the cashless policy implementation which already is causing untold sufferings on Nigerians vis – a -vis the effects it could have on the February, March general elections.

Some of the governors present include the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, governors of Ebonyi, Dave Umahi, Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Imo, Hope Uzodimma.

Others are those of Zamfara, Bello Matawale; Ogun, Dapo Abiodun; Yobe, Mai Bala-Buni; Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai; Kano, Abdullahi Ganduje; Kwara, Abdulramn Abdulrazak; Niger, Sani Bello among others.

The meeting it was gathered  was called at the instance of the governors  to talk the president into withdrawing the cashless policy.
