Amalgamation of Deregistered Political Parties Declare Unalloyed Support for Uba Sani/ Uwa Balarabe’s Ticket

The group under the auspices of the Amalgamation of Deregistered Political Parties of Nigeria (ADPPN) today endorsed Sen. Uba Sani, the All Progressive Congress APC governorship candidate as their preferred choice.

This was disclosed to journalists during a press conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ secretariat Kaduna.

group, they have in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Ahmad and the Secretary, Amb. Matah Yakubu declared their unalloyed support for Sen. Uba Sani/Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe’s ticket.

Speaking, Amb. Matoh informed that consultations were made  before arriving at the decision to endorse his candidature.

Senator Uba Sani’s endorsement he added is as a result of his competence and the good work he has done.

“We the forum of Amalgamation
of deregistred political parties, where sixty (60) party chairmen and their excos
that were deregistered after the 2019 general elections are here today to raise
critical salient issues relating to the forthcoming Governorship elections in Kaduna State come March 18″ 2023 in relation to the candidature of the All-Progressive Congress (APC) stand bearer Senator Dr. Uba Sani.
“Our forum is a platform for the promotion of good Governance, support to progressive ideals in a free democratic environment.

“We have before arriving at this decision consulted widely with our members and network of stakeholders and opinion leaders. We appraise them of the clear  achievements of distinguished Senator Uba Sani, a civil society activist, a crusader for social justice, an award winning (ICPC certified), anti corruption crusader and a high performing Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria.

These wide-ranging consultations provided us the mandate to make the declaration of support in this press conference.”

 “Some of the monumental achievements that stands Dr. Uba Sani heads and shoulders above candidates of the other parties; ranges from Human capital development. He is a mentor to many young people in Nigeria irrespective of tribe, ethnicity or religion.

The Uba Sani foundation is a source of succor to many and indigent student
through its scholarship scheme
In the 7 LGAs that made up his senatorial zone, widows, orphans, youth
groups, the physically challenged benefits from the benevolence of this
gentleman.
Still on his achievements,
“He led the struggle for the reduction of the interest payment on soft loans
that he facilitated for Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion, ethnicity, or
social status.
Dr. Uba Sani towers head and shoulders above all the other candidates for the
Governorship of Kaduna State and we challenge them to-SHOW WHAT THEY
HAVE DONE!”

Also mentioned is Sen. Uba Sani’s educational infrastructural development in some of the rural LGAs of his constituency on assumption of office as senator by proposing a bill that has scaled all parliamentary processes to establish some critical educational infrastruture.

Amongst his pursuits are, the Act to Establish the Federal College of Education, Giwa, Kaduna State, Federal Medical Centre Rigassa, Kaduna State (Est., Etc.) Bill 2019 (SB.169),

Establishment of the Institute of Information and Communication

Technology Kaduna South (Est., Etc.) Bill 2020 (SB.407).

Also the University of Technology Kaduna (Est, Etc.) Bill 2019 which seeks to convert Kaduna State Polytechnic to a university.

In the area of economic development,

Senator Uba Sani sponsored and led the Banks and Other Financial Institutions
Act 2004 (Repeal and Re-Enactment) Bill 2019 (SB.178) that was signed into law to support greater economic development of business environment in the country.
The Distinguished senator is currently ranked among the three senators with the most progressive bills in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.” The group said.

The group however has lamented and drawn attention to what they described as unhealthy situation “whereby some political parties decided to create a political gimmick they called “Muslim-Muslim” ticket. A coinage of the opposition in Kaduna state.

The APC”s decision to pick  Dr. Hadiza SabuwaBalarabe as Uba Sani’s deputy is based on her capability. It is also meant to  give women voice which the people should have supported with good intent.

Responding to why the deputy governor Dr. Adiza Balarabe is retained?

“The deputy is retained based on her capability and the fact that she is an insider, part of the out going regime, she will be a guide for the purpose of continuity.

“Gentle men of the press, we are disturbed by the negative signals coming from some political parties who have decided to create a political gimmick they called “Muslim-Muslim” ticket- this phrase is a coinage of the opposition in Kaduna State. The APC only gave voice to our women who have been kept in the backyard for long; and for the last 4 years the performance of Kaduna State women in governance is clear for everyone to see.
“We state clearly that the combination of
Sen Uba Sani and Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa, Balarabe, is a strategic strike at the political balancing act. This political brinkmanship is giving the opposition a night mare because the strategy has provided Kaduna State an unprecedented development strides in the annals of the history of Kaduna State

“We the Amalgamation of deregistered Political Parties Kaduna State chapter, on behalf of our teeming membership in the 23 LGAS, Wards and communities, on this 14h day of March 2023, do hereby declare that we whole heartedly ENDORSE the candidature of Senator Dr. Uba Sani of the All-Progressive Congress (APC) as the preferred choice for the Governor of Kaduna State in the election slated for March 18h 2023.
