Kaduna: Confusion as Man Kills Self with Explosive to Avoid Arrest

Ibrahim Haske Road, KEKE community, Kaduna Millennium City, on Monday

 was plunged into confusion as man ended his life using an Improvised Explosive Device (IED)

Accordiing to eye witnesses, the family man, on this faithful morning at Ibrahim Haske Road, KEKE community, Kaduna Millennium City, “took his life to evade arrest by security agencies.

They heard gunshots at about 1 am when officials from the Department of State Services (DSS), soldiers, and the police arrived the man’s house. They said.

When the man noticed that he was surrounded, “he used explosives to end his life during an exchange of gunfire between him and the security operatives.”

Journalists gathered that a gun, AK-47 rifle was found inside the house, with two other IEDs that were later detonated by the Anti-bomb squad of the police.

Malam Samaila, a community leader said the security operatives prevented  people from coming near the man’s house.

There is the allegation of a likelihood that the man was a member of a terrorist group whom the security operatives have tracked down to his house for an arrest but realizing that there was no way for escape decided to take his life.

It was a sorry sight as the body was in fragments.

Meanwhile, the security operatives went away with his family members,”  an eye witness informed.
