The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna State Council has declared three days to mourn the sad demise of Agom Adara who was murdered by unidentified persons.

The union has in a statement signed by the council’s Secretary, Dauda Idris Doka and made available to newsmen today, Saturday 27th October, 2018 condemned the act describing the perpetrators as heartless.

The statement said the late Dr. Maiwada Galadima was a “peaceful leader who struggled hard for the unity and development of his community, Kaduna State and Nigeria in general.

“The last meeting our members had with late Dr. Maiwada Galadima at his palace during the NUJ tour is still fresh in our memories. He departed at the time when his services were needed most,” it stated.

“The union is appealing to state government and security agencies to double their efforts in ensuring that the perpetrators of this evil act are identified and brought to book.

“On behalf of all members of Nigeria Union of Journalists Kaduna State Council, we want to use this medium to condole Kaduna State Government, Kajuru and Kachia LGAs, Adara Chiefdom and his family over the irreplaceable loss.

“We also appeal for peaceful coexistence among the followers of Islam and Christianity for the peace, unity and development of our dear state,” it concluded.
