Israel’s Genocide in Gaza: Israel enraged as UK leads Western recognition of Palestine

Palestinian ambassador to UK, Husam Zomlot has thanked Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s move for the recognition of Palestinian state.

He said Palestinians refused to be dehumanised and erased.

Despite prime minister Benjamin Natanyahu’s condemnation of UK’s recognition of Palestine, several countries, including France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Malta, have said they will join the more than 145 UN members that already recognise a Palestinian state.

However, many Israelis have reacted to  UK’s recognition of Palestine by lashing out at international support for Palestinians.

On the other hand, critics say, the UK’s move is largely symbolic and call for more action to end  straeli’s siege on Gaza.
