Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state has charged the 2024 batch A stream ii Corps members to be of exemplary character during their service year as they are the future leaders of tomorrow.

The governor made this charge at the swearing in ceremony orientation course held during the week at the temporary orientation camp, government college, Kaduna.

Uba Sani who spoke through the Honourable Commissioner Of Human Services and Social Development, Hajia Rabi Salisu congratulated the corps members for the successful completion of their educational pursuit.

He urged them to be good ambassadors  of the nation by displaying humility, empathy and integrity at their various places of services.

“”My dear Corps members, I heartily congratulate you on the successful completion of your various academic pursuits which qualified you for call-up to national service. Remember that you are our future leaders, as you have taken the Oath of Allegiance today, take note that you are not just representing yourselves, but you have become an embodiment of the hopes and aspirations of millions of Nigerians for nation building.

The governor stressing on the need for collaboration as means to effective service delivery said.

“My dear compatriots, I urge you to approach your service year with humility, empathy and integrity. Listen to the voices of the people you serve. Respect their culture and collaborate with them so as to make it easy for your integration into the host community. Learn their language to enable you communicate with them effectively. Your actions, no matter how small, have the power to spur meaningful transformation and leave a lasting legacy.”

The Commissioner reflecting on her service years expressed how happier it made her, seeing the healthy promising youth dressed in their NYSC ‘Khaki’ which she said brought back the sweet memories of those old days.

Also congratulating them on their achievements, she advised that they be of good conduct as she wished them

a successful and fulfilling orientation course in their service year.

Speaking, the State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corp Kaduna,  Mr Hassan Mahmud Taura, in his heartwarming welcome address called on the  Corps members to be law abiding citizens within their course of orientation and throughout their year of service. Exhibiting the spirit of oneness he emphasized is the surest way to building a virile and healthy nation.
