Kano State Government to end water scarcity in Kunya

Kano State Government has taken steps towards ending water scarcity in Kunya town in Minjibir Local Government Area of the state.

It has assured the people the provision of powered solar boreholes to address their problem.

The Managing Director of the State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA), Engineer Shamwilu Abdulkadir Isah gave the assurance when he paid a physical survey recently in Kunya town.

 

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration he explained as a result of the hardship being faced by the people in the town has put much emphasis to end water scarcity in all the nooks and crannies of the state.

This has necessitated the state government’s reason to providing the solar powered boreholes. Engineer Shamwilu added.

 

While urging the people in the area and the state in general to continue supporting the present administration in achieving  the desired goals, “Kano state Government will soon provide solar boreholes in three senatorial districts of the state to end the shortage of portable water.” He assured.

 

In his remarks the Chairman of Interim Management Committee of Minjibir Local Government Area,  Alhaji Muhammad Yakubu Kunya appreciating the efforts of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in addressing the lingering water scarcity in the area had assured his administration of the people’s continuous support.
