Agriculture: Governor Dikko Radda to establish mechanized farm service centers in Katsina state
The Governor of Katsina state, Dikko Umar Radda has revealed plans to establish mechanized farm service centers in all thirty-four local government areas of Katsina state to bolster the state’s agricultural sector and address pressing social issues.
The announcements came during the 239th National Executive and Working Committee Meeting of Fityanul Islam, held at the Local Government Service Commission.
“Our administration is committed to empowering farmers at all levels,” stated the Governor. “By providing easy access to farm implements through these centers, we aim to significantly enhance agricultural productivity across State.”
“The centers will be equipped with essential machinery, including tractors, available to both small and large-scale farmers at subsidized rates,” the Governor explained.
Addressing the current challenges facing the state, Governor Radda acknowledged the ongoing food crisis, security challenges, and poverty affecting the populace.
In response, he highlighted the administration’s proactive approach, “We have initiated state-wide town hall meetings to directly engage with our citizens. This grassroots approach ensures that the government’s budgetary allocations align closely with the needs and aspirations of our people.”
Governor Radda pledged continued government support in promoting Islamic values and community welfare throughout the state.
