The leadership style of the Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Popoola Saheed Gambari and his team which has continually projected the true principles of lslam and  ideals of NASFAT he described as worthy of emulation.

He said NASFAT is known for its structural arrangement which is widely recognized and should be sustained.
The President spoke on his administration’s areas of focus,  the ‘LEAD’ programme.
The ‘LEAD’ programme, he explained focuses on 4 principles, Leadership, Empowerment, Agents of Change and Dawa’ah.
L = Leadership;  E = Empowerment; A= Agents of change and D= Dawa’ah. It is a step meant to  further enhance the lives of members and hoped to be pursued in all ramifications. He stated.
He urged members to live in peace. To co-exist peacefully with members of the society as lslam is a religion of peace. There is need to promote brotherhood, contribute positively to the growth of the society ( assisting communities, eg, through empowerment) as well as intensify dawah programme. He stressed.
As to why they are focusing on these four items? He said.
“We have looked at the country. What we lack is leadership. In our society, Allah has been blessing us.”
The issue of leadership the  society he said has taken with all seriousness as there is machinery put in place to ensure a smooth transition.
Abdulrauf tasked the council of elders saddled with the responsibilities of ensuring smooth succession of leadership to be God fearing as they contribute towards taking the society to the next level because without good leadership, nothing good can be achieved.

“Council of Elders must be deliberate in the selection of leaders. They must make sure there is no sentiment in the selection of people.
“They must make sure that they follow patterns and records of people before they are selected.
“People that don’t have time, people that don’t have talent, people that don’t have pedigree you must be careful of selecting them.
However, people should be given equal treatment and not to be underated because there are individual qualities. The president added.
