NASFAT President Salutes Kaduna Zone, Lauds leadership style
… calls for peaceful co-existence

NASFAT President Worldwide, Alhaji Abdulrauf Ayodeji Abdulwahid has applauded NASFAT Kaduna Zone for its doggedness in steering its affairs.
He charged them to remain focused and not to relent in their efforts in pursuing the principles and values for which NASFAT is built.
This charge was given during his working visit to NASFAT Kaduna Zone.
The leadership style of the Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Popoola Saheed Gambari and his team which has continually projected the true principles of lslam and ideals of NASFAT he described as worthy of emulation.
He said NASFAT is known for its structural arrangement which is widely recognized and should be sustained.
The President spoke on his administration’s areas of focus, the ‘LEAD’ programme.
The ‘LEAD’ programme, he explained focuses on 4 principles, Leadership, Empowerment, Agents of Change and Dawa’ah.
L = Leadership; E = Empowerment; A= Agents of change and D= Dawa’ah. It is a step meant to further enhance the lives of members and hoped to be pursued in all ramifications. He stated.
He urged members to live in peace. To co-exist peacefully with members of the society as lslam is a religion of peace. There is need to promote brotherhood, contribute positively to the growth of the society ( assisting communities, eg, through empowerment) as well as intensify dawah programme. He stressed.
As to why they are focusing on these four items? He said.
“We have looked at the country. What we lack is leadership. In our society, Allah has been blessing us.”
The issue of leadership the society he said has taken with all seriousness as there is machinery put in place to ensure a smooth transition.
Abdulrauf tasked the council of elders saddled with the responsibilities of ensuring smooth succession of leadership to be God fearing as they contribute towards taking the society to the next level because without good leadership, nothing good can be achieved.
“Council of Elders must be deliberate in the selection of leaders. They must make sure there is no sentiment in the selection of people.
“They must make sure that they follow patterns and records of people before they are selected.
“People that don’t have time, people that don’t have talent, people that don’t have pedigree you must be careful of selecting them.
However, people should be given equal treatment and not to be underated because there are individual qualities. The president added.
On some of the efforts being made to impact positively on lives of members, there are ongoing plans on the pipeline.
He informed that 300 NASFAT youth are to be empowered of which 100 youth already are undergoing training in various skills. (ICT training)
The first batch of 100 youth on completion of their training will be gainfully employed as arrangement has already been made to that effect.
The president charged individual branch chairman to key into the system by encouraging their youths to register and partake in the training programme. The training is free and that NASFAT has taken the responsibilities except for the registration fees.
With regards to the women, there is collaboration with corporate bodies to help improve their lots by providing them with soft loans. One of such is the Alternative bank.
The Chairmen, he encouraged should alongside the national body’s efforts ensure that they pursue the LEAD programme with all seriousness.
While acknowledging his predecessor, the former NASFAT President Worldwide, Alhaji Niyi Yusuf’s ‘HELD’ programme, his ‘LEAD’ programme, he said is an added advantage meant to further enhance the well being of the generality of members.
The president pleaded for understanding amongst spouses particularly at this trying period. There is need for patience and urged that people be more prayerful in seeking Allah’s guidance and succour.
The branch Chairmen in their respective welcome addresses thanked the president for finding it worthy to fraternize with them as they updated him with the affairs of their branches.
The branch Chairman, NASFAT Kaduna Branch spoke through his Vice Chairman, Alhaji Suleiman Aleibiosu.
The visitation first point of call was NASFAT Doka Branch. The President, Alhaji Abdulrauf Ayodeji Abdulwahid accompanied by the National Project Secretary, Engr. Muhyideen Alimi Yusuf and National Elders Council Chairman Alhaji Inuwa Bello were warmly received by the Chairman, NASFAT Doka Branch, Hon. Musbau Adepoju, his executives, and members of the branch.
President proceeded to NASFAT Mararaban Jos Group.
While at NASFAT Mararaban Jos group, the president commended the group’s efforts but urged that they intensify more efforts in their activities in order to become a full fledged branch.
The group has seek for assistance for them to have their permanent site.
After Mararaban Jos NASFAT Group, the president and his team proceeded to NASFAT Zaria Branch where he was also warmly received by the Chairman Engr. AbdulAkeem and the women.
Soon after his visit to NASFAT Kaduna Zone, the president, a business administrator, a Chartered Stock Broker and a guru in the Capital Market, who is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ThinkStartup Beyond Boarders Inc, (a Management Consultancy company) was at Alim and Associates Ltd. where the Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Muhyideen Alimi Yusuf used the opportunity to improve the lots of his staff.
