CHIKUN/KAJURU BY-ELECTION: VOTERS DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY AMID VAGUE CAMPAIGNS

As the Chikun/Kajuru by-election approaches, concerned citizens are raising critical questions about the lack of transparency in candidate campaigns.

Voters express frustration over the absence of clear blueprints, track records, or actionable plans from aspirants including a former officeholder seeking re-election after two decades in power with little to show.

“We cannot continue like this,” says Aminu Iliyasu Kajuru, a community advocate.

“Promoters flood social media with endorsements, yet none articulate what their candidates have achieved or how they’ll improve lives in Chikun/Kajuru. Even the ex-officeholder, who spent 20 years in the seat, fails to present a legacy worth rewarding with another term.”

Key Concerns Highlighted:
1. No Track Record: Candidates avoid scrutiny of past performance.
2. Empty Promises: Campaigns focus on rhetoric over tangible plans.
3. Recycled Leadership: Voters reject “business as usual” politics.

Call to Action:
Aminu urges the electorate and media to demand answers:
– “What has your candidate delivered in the past?”
– “What specific solutions will they implement for education, infrastructure, and jobs?”
– “Why should we trust them with power again?”

“This election must be about issues, not loyalty,” he insists. “Chikun/Kajuru deserves leaders who prove competence not just connections.”
