This concern was raised during a press conference held today at the Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (ACHPN) Secretariat, Kaduna.

Speaking during the conference, the State Chairman, Comrade Aliyu Abdulrasheed Umar said the proliferation of such schools was producing unqualified personnel and encouraging quackery in the health sector.

These schools operating across the state claiming to train Community Health Practitioners the association stressed  have no approval from the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).

lt is unacceptable. The association cried out.

“We have identified several illegal institutions across various Local Government Areas misleading the public and producing unqualified personnel. This act promotes quackery and undermines the quality of health care delivery in our communities”.

“The Association has submitted a comprehensive list of unaccredited schools to the Kaduna State Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Education, urging immediate action.

He called for collaboration with security agencies and local councils to shut down the illegal schools, publish the list of duly accredited health institutions in the state, and restrict clinical training in public facilities to students from approved institutions only.

Comrade Umar called on parents and guardians to verify the accreditation status of any school before enrolling their wards to avoid wasting time and resources on unrecognized programs.
