Hijrah 1448: NASFAT Kaduna Zone Urges Nigerians to Submit to Allah, Never Lose Hope Amid Hardship

Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria

The Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Kaduna Zone, has urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite the nation’s economic challenges, reminding them that every trial has an end and that Allah has the power to change any situation.

The call was made during the Zone’s Hijrah 1448 lecture, where Islamic scholars encouraged Muslims to draw inspiration from the migration (Hijrah) of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah, describing it as a timeless lesson of faith, perseverance, patience and total reliance on Allah.

Delivering the lecture, the Missioner of NASFAT Kaduna Main Branch, Imam Mustapha Abdulkareem, said the Hijrah was not merely a physical migration but a journey from hardship to victory, from weakness to strength and from hopelessness to divine greatness.

According to him, every challenge confronting humanity today has been experienced before, stressing that believers should never despair of Allah’s mercy.

“There is no difficulty you are facing today that Allah has not tested someone with before. Do not lose hope in Allah. Believe with certainty that He can still assist you, bring you out of your problems and make a way for you. Rely on Him, submit to Him and all will be well.”
The cleric explained that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) endured severe persecution in Makkah, including torture of Muslims, economic and social boycott, the loss of his uncle and protector, Abu Talib, and the death of his beloved wife, Khadijah (RA), before Allah commanded him to migrate to Madinah.
He noted that after the migration, the Prophet immediately focused on strengthening the Muslim community by building the first mosques, establishing brotherhood between the Muhajirun and the Ansar, drafting the Constitution of Madinah, promoting justice, and spreading knowledge and Dawah.
Imam Abdulkareem said these actions remain practical lessons for Muslims today
.

He urged Nigerians to first submit completely to Allah, remain patient during trials, and cultivate the habit of helping others regardless of their own circumstances.
To further illustrate his message, he cited the story of Prophet Musa (AS), who fled Egypt for his safety and, despite his own hardship, assisted two young women in drawing water for their flock. Unknown to him, they were daughters of Prophet Shu’aib (AS).
According to the cleric, that single act of kindness became the turning point in Prophet Musa’s life, leading to his accommodation, marriage and eventual preparation for prophethood.
“The lesson is that before Allah opens new doors for you, you must be willing to do good for others. Acts of kindness attract Allah’s favour,” he said.

Also speaking, the Zonal Missioner, Imam Maruf Alabi, encouraged Muslims to emulate the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), describing his life as a perfect model of obedience, patience, perseverance, tolerance and selfless leadership.
He said the Prophet succeeded because he acted strictly according to Allah’s guidance and won the hearts of the people through exemplary conduct.
“The Prophet demonstrated leadership by example. When the first mosque in Madinah was being built, he personally carried blocks on his shoulders. Such humility inspired everyone around him to participate.
“If our leaders today emulate the Prophet’s leadership qualities—justice, tolerance, compassion and selfless service—our communities and indeed our nation will become better places to live.”
Imam Alabi further stressed the need for unity, cooperation and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians irrespective of religious differences, saying collective efforts are necessary to address the country’s challenges.
Earlier, the Zonal Chairman of NASFAT Kaduna Zone, Alhaji Saheed Popoola, appreciated the leadership of all branches and members for their commitment to the growth of the society.
He called on members to continue to promote love, unity and mutual understanding, noting that these values remain the foundation for sustainable development within the organisation.
The chairman also commended the contributions of women to the growth of NASFAT, describing them as the backbone of every successful society. He specifically applauded the Zonal Women Affairs Secretary, Hajiya Muibat Lawal, for her dedication and commitment to the success of the zone’s programmes.

participants with Qur’anic recitations, Hadith memorisation and other educational performances showcasing Islamic values.
The colourful event ended with prayers for peace, unity and prosperity in Nigeria, as
participants reflected on the enduring lessons of Hijrah and renewed their commitment to faith, service and hope in Allah.
