Honorable Comfort Amwe, candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has been declared winner, Sanga Constituency rerun election held on Saturday in Kaduna State, 
In a keenly contested State Assembly election, Mrs. Amwe scored 19,815, to defeat her opponent, Hon. Haliru Gambo of the All Progressives Congress Party, APC, who polled 19,688.
The returning officer, Dr. Sani Sadiq Kubau announced Mrs. Comfort Amwe valid winner of the Saturday’s 25th rerun election to retains her seat at the Kaduna State House of Assembly. 
Hon Comfort is the only female member in a State Assembly in the North West Zone, from Sanga Constituency in Kaduna State,
What is it that makes Hon. Comfort tick you may ask.
Aside the fact that she is a woman who knows her onions, she is easy-going   determined and focused.
Her dream is to take the people of Sanga to the promise land. She said this in one of her interviews shortly after the inauguration of the sixth Assembly at Lugard Hall in Kaduna on June 13, 2019.
‘I worked as an elected Chairman in the LGA. Opportunities availed me was used to touch lives and l did that through constructing infrastructure.
Representation she said is all about making laws, to bring progress to the people. 
She will do all it takes to contribute to the development of her constituency. She promised.
“Whatever will touch their lives, is what I intend to do. I will go to plead with the Executive to bring meaningful development to our people. Being a Member of House is not like at the LGA where we take executive decisions. Now, we make laws and lobby the Executive to favour them,” Hon. Comfort said.
The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hajiya Hadiza Balarabe, is also from Sanga Local Government area of Sanga constituency.
The election however was peaceful, free and fair. There was no security breach before and after the final election result was declared. Some of the voters interviewed comfirmed.
