KNSGTo Partner Nawoj in Curbing Menance Of Open Defecation, Street Begging

Kano state government has pledged to partner with the Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Kano state chapter to sensitize the general public on the menace of open defecation in the state.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Secretary, Kano State Nawoj, Wasilah Ibrahim Ladan and made availabkeable yo newsmen.
According to the statement,
“The State Governor  Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje Khadimul Islam made the pledge when the delegation of Nawoj Kano State Chapter paid him a courtesy visit to his office at the Council Chamber on 19th Feb 2020.
The governor also pledged to collaborate with Nawoj Kano in eradicating street begging and to integrate Almajiri’s school system and that as it is, there are over 400 thousand Almajiri’s in the state.
Speaking earlier, Nawoj Kano Chairperson, hajia Bilkisu Ado Zango
commended his Excellency on all the wonderful and laudable programmes initiated across the state by Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje including free and compulsory education and the recent signing of 132KVA  MOU with the transmission company of Nigeria (TCN) to provide Kano State with constant power supply in order to boost business activities in the state. 
She highlighted some of the challenges the association is facing including lack of mobility,inadequate office space ,lack of office equipment which he has pledged to support.
“Nawoj Kano state Chapter extend their appreciation to his Excellency for the audience, support and collaboration.”
The statement added.
