Friends And Colleagues Remember Football Legend, Late Coach Shuaibu Amodu

Friends and Colleagues of late Coach Shaibu Amodu, a one time Super Eagles Coach  have drawn up plans to  commumerate the achievements of the late icon.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Sadoh Yekini.
According to the statement, the event will be low key and will keep to government lockdown regulations.
“We the friends and colleagues of the late Coach Shuaibu Amodu MON,  who  died on June 11 2016, (4yrs ago), wish to create a memorial day for the football legend.
“To keep to the government lockdown regulations, we intend to maintain a modest program as follows;
(1). Jogging round the field by few friends.
(2). Muslim and Christian prayers for him.
(3). Good will messages.
(4). Selection of organising committees for the Shuaibu Amodu memorial National Under 15 football competition starting June 11, 2021.
We strongly appreciate your open heart and love.
“We are gathering at the Ikelebe Sports Arena at Auchi, Edo State at 4pm on this Thursday, June 11 to Kickstart the event. The statement added.
It would interest you to know that the late icon coached the Super Eagles more times than any other coach, having led the national team five times.
His first appointment was Super Eagles Coach in 2001 and guided the team to secure qualification for the 2002 World Cup.
