Northern Christian Clerics Felicitate With Muslims ln Marking The  Islamic Hijrah Year

Northern Christian Clerics  felicitate with Muslims across the 36 states of Nigeria and the world at large as they mark the Islamic Hijrah Year.
Pastor Yohanna Buru while receiving Muslim youth and scholars  who paid him a courtsey visit  at his resident in Sabon Tasha resident, in southern part of Kaduna urged them to use the occassion to intensify prayers for peace and unity in the country and West Africa at large.
The group whose mission was to extend their hands of friendship to the Christian Youth Organization for the purpose of  peace building gave the assurance of maintaining a cordial relationship.
According to the Christian cleric, every year, he usually sends  thousands  of  peace messages through his facebook page and social media to all his Muslim friends and relations on the occassion of the Islamic new year.
Pastor Buru while wishing every Muslim in the state and world at large a happy Islamic New Year celebration, enjoined residents of the state to continue to live harmoniously and peacefully amongst themselves. Cultivating the spirit of  tolerance and understanding, he said will go a long way in supporting government’s mission in promoting peace and unity among its citizens.
” Nigerian must  show tolerance, forgiveness and help government in spreading the message of peace, unity among  its  citizens, and also to support the government in tackling all forms of ethno-religious, political and regional differences that is disturbing peace stability in the country”.
“We must congratulate our Muslim brothers that are celebrating their Happy new year today. we should always remember that “we are one family under GOD .”
“We are from one family Adam and Eve, worshiping one God; We all believe in paradise and hell, as well as believe in the day of resurrection.
“We all believe in Holy bible and Qur’an therefore, we congratulate the Muslim Umma round the world and we are hoping to join them in the celebration in other to promote religious tolerance and forgiveness”.
Buru further appealed to all Muslims to always remember the less –privileged in the society, begged them to assist Orphans and widows, and orphanage homes.
while calling on Muslims and Christians to embarks on ceaseless prayers for God to bring an end to all the insecurity challenges that is affecting peace stability, economic development in the country, he also called on the federal government to declare every day of new Islamic Calender year, a public holiday   to enable Muslims celebrate their day with joy and happiness.
Adding that some states in Nigeria have declared the day a public holiday for the citizens to celebrate it in a special way.
“I wish you all happy new Islamic year, and  I wish you joy and may God continue to keep us in peace and harmony.”
Similarly, pastor John Joseph  of Christ Evangelical and Life lntervention Ministry Sabon Tasha, equally called on the people of Southern Kaduna to live in peace and harmony.
He said, “we need peace in the entire region of southern kaduna and Nigeria at large”.
Contributing, Revren and evegelist  of the Christ Evangelical Church, Kaduna, urged muslims and christian youth leaders to shun hate speeches and encourage youth to always live in peace and harmony.
Mallam Gambo Abdullahi Barnawa, who is one of the youth leaders in the state said the marking of the happy new Islamic year is not only for muslims, but for all human kind. He thanked the christian leaders for sending SMS to muslims youths to congratulate them for the new Islamic year.
