NUJ  Kaduna  Joins  Nationwide Strike Over Hike in Ekectricity, Fuel Pump Price

Following the call by the NLC Kaduna State Chapter for participation in a peaceful protest over hike in electricity and fuel pump price, the  Nigeria Union of Journalists  ( NUJ) Kaduna State Council has called on its members to  participate in the protest commencing, Monday, 28th September, 2020.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Council Secretary, Comrade Femi John Adi.

“All colleagues and council members are to participate in the Protest scheduled to take place in Kaduna on Monday as arranged by Labour.”

Statement from Labour Kaduna Chapter reads thus:

“Following the directive of the National body of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) , Kaduna State Council in adherence calls on all Chapels of Union to mobilize members for a peaceful protest scheduled to take place on 28th September, 2020 .

Convergence Point : Ranchers Bees Stadium by 7:00AM prompt.

“All Civil Servants, Civil Society Organizations, Non Governmental Organizations and all stakeholders are expected to participate in the peaceful protest against the hike in electricity and petroleum pump price.

Our slogan: Enough is Enough, we say no to electricity and fuel price hike.

NB: Please let’s join forces with other NLC to make the protest a success”
