LATE KADUNA DEPUTY GOVERNOR, AN UNUSUAL MAN – ACF
The Arewa Consultative Forum( ACF) has described the former Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Yusuf Bantex who passed on in a hospital in Abuja as an unusual man who helped to stabilise the first tenure of Elrufai’s administration.
To this end, ACF expressed its sadness over the death of the former Deputy Governor.
This was contained in a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the forum, Emmanuel Yawe, on Sunday.
According to the statement, the deceased died in a hospital in Abuja on Sunday.
“He served as a Deputy Governor to Nasir El Rufai in his first term 2015 – 2019 but preferred to run for Senate in 2019 rather than continue as a Deputy Governor.
“At the ACF, Bantex was considered an unusual gentleman who contributed in no modest way in stabilising the first tenure of el Rufai government.
“He had served his people in a similar manner at the Local Government level as Chairman Kaura Local Government, state and federal levels as a member of the Constitutional Conference 1994 and House of Representatives.
“The ACF condoles with Governor el Rufai and the immediate family and the whole of Kaduna State on the loss of the great human asset known as Architect Barnabas Bala Yusuf, Bantex.”
Earlier in his honour, the Kaduna State Government, in a statement signed yesterday, 11th July, 2021 by the
Special Adviser to the Governor (Media & Communication), Muyiwa Adeleke had declared today, no 11th July 2021 a work free day.
