Election is not all about Violence – Hajiya Khadijat Sa’ad

The president ‘Babban Mace Counseling Services’, a Non-Governmental Organization Hajiya Khadijat Sa’ad has charged youth  to remain peaceful during the forth –coming Local Government election as election she said is not all about violence.

She made this charge while briefing newsmen on reason for embarking on an endurance trek.

The endurance trek which took off from Ahmadu Bello Stadium, through Ahmadu Bello Way and terminated at Murtala Mohammed Square, Kaduna, North-West Nigeria, Hajiya Khadijat said was a sensitization programme organized to educate the society particularly the youth on the need to shun all forms of violence during elections. Starting with the LG election slated for 12^th of May, 2018.

She stressed that everyone after voting should go back home and wait for the results and not to involve themselves in any act of violent.

“We can have a free, fair and non-violent election. The essence of the endurance trekking is to show Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission. KADSIECOM that we are good citizens of the State.

Babban  Mace Counseling Services, is an organization that deals with the youth and counsels people by giving them advise on what is disturbing them and also try to bring back morality to the life of the youths.

“Since what we do in our organization is counseling, so we plan to do this road work to sensitize the society and make them understand that election is not all about violence, but can be free, fair and non –violent. we can have a free, fair and non-violent election.

“We will share flyers to the people so that when the upcoming local government election comes, people should vote and go back to their houses and wait for the results of the election, and not to involve themselves in violent acts,” she stressed.

On the popular saying according to President Buhari that the Nigerian youth are lazy, Commenting on the popular trend that Nigerian youth are lazy according to President Muhammadu Buhari,  Hajiya Kadijat has a different opinion. Most of the people that are saying the youth are lazy she said are those who do not go closer to the youth for them to know their problems and how to be of help to them. She added

She advised all and sundry to carry the youth along.  Drawing the youth closer through positive activities.

“My organization shows the youths that we care and we also make them work hard.

“We have counseled more than 2,000 youth and women on marital issues, importance of education and drugs.

“Issue of morality is the beginning of all evil, because if the youth lack moral up bringing from home, they become problems to the society.

“So the organization is looking into the issue of divorce, which is another problem of home wreckage for the youth. When there is a broken home, that is when the youth in that family start having problems,” Hajiya Khadijat said.
