ZONGO KATAF CRISIS: We Have Cried Enough, Bury Our People Enough, We Can’t Take It No More – Atyap

Atyap Community Development Association (ACDA), has expressed sadness over what they described as constant attacks on its community members despite all efforts to make peace.
This was disclosed to journalists during a press conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat, NUJ Kaduna, 7th, February, 2022.
The group speaking through its President, Comrade Samuel Achie is calling on Kaduna state government for a review of strategies since the strategies put in place is not yielding results.
It said attacks happen frequently and usually, about a kilometer or 2 from military check points.
“The unfortunate thing is that at any time there is a peace meeting with either government officials, representatives of Fulani organizations or the NGOs to try and advance the peace process, the next thing will be an attack on the land by the Fulani terrorist militias, who subsequently vanish without any trace of their whereabouts.”
The Fulani militia be treated as terrorists based on the law which already declared them as terrorists. It said.
“While we have remained resolute in pursuing the peace initiated by our paramount ruler, HRH Sir Dominic Yahaya Gambo and other sons and daughters of the land, the enemies of peace keep inflicting pains by invading our villages and killing our people at will and getting away with it.
Lamenting, it said

Many lives and innumerable properties have been destroyed in villages like Abuyab, Mazaki, Mawakili, Takjei, Matache, Matagama, Gora Gan, Kurmin Masara and Atisa. On Sunday 30th January 2022
Despite Governor El-Rufai’s visit and categorical statement on putting an end to the lingering crisis, no measurable results noticed.
We are almost feeling fed up with the peace process put in place .
The group has called on the Federal and Kaduna state government to compensate and resettle those who lost their love ones, those whose houses got burned or destroyed and the farm lands that were destroyed by the Fulani Terrorists to alleviate their suffering.
Commending Kaduna state government’s peace efforts, It said, the government of Kaduna state needs to come out very neutral. As a solution, government should give equal treatment to its citizens . It said
