Kaduna Guber Race: I Am the  Best  Candidate that Fits the Cap – Haruna Yinusa Saheed

 Determined  Haruna Saheed says his antecedents stands him out amongst many and he is living no stone unturned to achieve his political dream.

Apart from him having a long standing record of achievements,  he has

according to him through his little ways impacted positively on the lives of many.

For Kaduna state to move on, he said, its needs one with a leadership quality.

“It is necessary that we make a change. A change is needed at the state level and the national level too. We have a responsibility to effect change. That responsibility is giving to you by the constitution of this party that you need to choose somebody that will bring the change. It must be somebody by my own description, that fits in into the leadership role that is needed.

“Such person must be somebody of character, Such person to lead he said must be somebody of character, somebody who possesses certain leadership qualities.

“He must be somebody of good character, one who has the capacity to lead, one who is committed, one who has courage and also has contributed to the educational being of people in the society.

“So if the person that is given that role to lead possesses those qualities, l am sure he will be accepted by the electorate.

Mr. Chairman that is the critical noble reason  that l have come to make a case for myself.

“I do believe Mr. Chairman and other party leaders that have the responsibility to bring out a person with those qualities that l, Haruna Saheed make bold to say that there is the need for the party to look directly and make Haruna Saheed fit into that cap.

He said aside being of good character, he has the capacity, sound education, and has the skill and knowledge of the environment where he needs to operate. According to him, he has displayed his skills in different aspect of life.

 “I am the longest serving accountant General in Kaduna state. I served for the period of 11years.  Before that, I was the general manager, investment, l was a banker just to mention a few. I know this state more than anybody including, l am sorry, the party Chairman. I know every part of this state from ward to even up to the polling units. My political career span over 20years

I contested for governorship in 2011 which afforded me experience and opportunity to meet people.

As for contributions, “I have done a lot in my village and elsewhere. I ensured that l built a complete secondary school. That is my contribution and commitment to education. I built Islamic school, l built mosque, l contributed in the construction of churches. l have also done something which is very important to be heard of. You all know the crisis which erupted in Kajuru especially in 2015, l was the sole and single person that ensured that it became a thing of the past.

“I held over 36 meetings to reconcile people to  ensure that they don’t fight again. I ensured that peace was instaled. In my life as a civil servant, l have never asked anything for myself but ask for my people. I brought developmental value to my people.  Bringing government closer to the people. My commitment is unwavering in politics, to the development of the people, to the development of the economy.

“When we talk of courage, my leaders  can attest to that. Mr. Chairman, with these few remarks, allow me to make the declaration that l, Haruna Yinusa Saheed cautious of the fact that there are so many challenges that we need to overcome in other to win the Governorship election in Kaduna state and cautious of the fact that we need in that office somebody with all the leadership qualities mentioned and cautious of the fact that the great party l belong to is that of bringing change, l do solemnly present myself before PDP to give me the mandate to lead in this race.

“I believe if you will be guided by the things you need to follow in the selection,  you will come to the conclusion that l am the right person for the choice of Kaduna state.” He said.

The Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Kaduna, Felix Hassan Hyet, welcoming him back to the party said, leaving the party and coming back is a kind of experience gathering.

“So welcome back from your journey. As your DG has said, you only went out to see things and came back. For the fact that you have gone somewhere and you’re back, you have come back with experience. Therefore we appreciate you for that.”

Power he said comes from God as he wished him well in the race. He urged members to go into the nooks and crannies of Kaduna to convince the over 3,000 delegates PDP  has to be able to wrestle power from the ruling party.

According to him, “May l stand by the authority of the party that we are going to provide a level play ground for everybody. We are not going to be intimidated by either your former position, we are not going to be intimidated by your resources, but we are going to be intimidated by the love of the people for a candidate.
