Nigeria No. 2  citizen Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is one of the 2023 presidential aspirants.
He said he is in the race in order to move Nigeria forward.
He disclosed this while in Kaduna on Sunday night to solicit the support of  Kaduna APC delegates.
Being the second in command,
Osinbajo said, if elected as president, he would not spend much time in studying
how to run the affairs of the country because the terrain is familiar to him.
 With his seven years experience in governance, he will hit the ground running on his first day in office.
According to him, he was tested, and did it before and will proof himself worthy if given the chance.
“When President Muhammadu Buhari handed over power to me before one of his visits to London,  I asked the President whether to report directly to him, but the President responded that I am in charge.
“And during President’s visit to London,  I was able to attend to complex and sensitive issues that showcased my capabilities to move the country forward see.
Speaking on Agriculture, Osinbajo said there is need to break the Ministry of agriculture so that the agricultural system can work effectively; with focus on infrastructure and other areas.
On the issue of education, there is need to prioritize education in the country,  adding that there must be a  paradigm change  and Nigeria must begin to run online education. Funding in the educational sector is not enough saying, there is need for improvement.
Also emphasised is the need to have a system that instantly responds to conflict, as a means to address sociocultural challenges, while also saying that there must be a social system that addresses the challenges of everyone.
 Enlightening the gathering on the current free fall  of the Naira, he said the country sets the rate and  the best solution is to let the market determine rate of the currency.
The Vice President who met the party delegates behind closed door arrived Murtala Square; the venue of the meeting at exactly 7: 36 pm alongside the Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-rufai among other top government officials.
