BAYELSA: SERVING OSUN BORN CORPS MEMBER DONATES EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS WORTH #600,000 TO STUDENTS IN BAYELSA
A Corp member from Osun state serving in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State has taken it upon himself through the community development Service under NYSC to donate Educational materials worth #600,000 to Students of Bishop Demeri Government school.
The corps member by name Olufemi Ebenezer with the state code BY/21B/0049 who hails from Ila Orangun in Osun state said it has always been his dream to encourage education in Nigeria in his little magnanimity. He said education is at the verge of collapsing in Nigeria as such all hands must be on deck to encourage the sector.
Aside the complete renovation of two (2) blocks of class rooms, the young philanthropist donated the following items to the institution.
Distribution of 500 pieces of customized 40leaves exercise book.
Distribution of 500 pieces of customized Biro to BDGS Students.
Donation of 30pcs Desks and Chairs to the school.
Distribution of 500 pieces of customized Nose mask.
Organized an interclass quiz competition for both junior and senior class.
He appreciated the NYSC SCHEME for such platform where corpers can solicit for funds from his serving Community in order to meet the need of the community.
Olufemi Ebenezer also charge government at all level to brace up and encourage education in Nigeria rather than corruption and bigotry.
Education is the best legacy. He stressed.
While thanking God for His grace to be able to accomplish his task, he is also thanking all those who contributed in making it possible to accomplish his project.
According to him,
