Men of the Kaduna State Police Command as part of its tight security measure ahead of the court hearing on the case of the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria,(IMN) Al-Zakzaky today had all the roads leading to the Kaduna High Court blocked.
Diverting Motorists to alternative routes according to the police was to avoid any breakdown of law and order by the Shiites group who have been carrying out series of protests both in Kaduna and Abuja in recent times demanding the release of their leader, El-Zakzaky , his wife and three others.
This stringent measure somehow had activities paralyzed in Kaduna as many people had their shops under lock while those who came out had to trek as there were less vehicles plying the streets.
The security men were fully armed ready to deal with any eventualities but all turned out to be calm and peaceful.
However, the Kaduna High Court has adjoined hearing in the bail application of the IMN leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and three others to August, 2.
