National Youth Games: Kaduna Claims Female Tennis Gold

Team Kaduna has claimed another gold medal at the ongoing National Youth Games, Ilorin 2018.

Iye Esther Onoja claimed the goal after beating Delta’s Oize Yakubu who settled for silver.

FCT and both got bronze.

Ubale Mohammed Head Coach Kaduna Tennis said that they were happy with the victory.

He commended Iye for making the state period, while assuring that a tab would be kept on her to further develop her skills for international standards.

“We are pleased with this gold medal. It goes a long way to prove that our hard word has paid off. It also shows that the investment by the state government and the ministry of Youth and sports on our athletes was not in vain,” he said.

With this victory, Kaduna has consolidated its position on the medals table, from two gold medals to three.
