Kaduna electric office today remained  sealed in compliance with Nigeria Labour Congress’s (NLC) 2day nationwide warning strike issued by the NLC’s president, Joe Ajaero.

Report has it that Kaduna, Edo, Cross River are in strict compliance with the directive of the NLC.

In Kaduna, workers in the public and private sectors joined their counterpart in the strike as offices were deserted.

There was partial compliance in Abuja, Lagos and Rivers .

Report also has it that banks, courts and members of Academic Staff Union ASUU (university) in Kano joined the strike.

The protest is in connection with the federal government’s failure to address the bitting economic hardship Nigerians are passing through as a result of the fuel subsidy removal. A situation  that has led to soaring cost of living.
