The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has fixed Wednesday, September 6, to deliver judgement in the three petitions challenging the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
The Chief registrar, court of appeal, Umar Bangari confirmed the date on Monday.
The three petitions were filed by the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic, Party PDP, Abubakar Atiku. The Presidential candidate of the Labour party, LP, Peter Obi as well as that of Allied Peoples Movement.
Tinubu during the election scored  8,794,726 votes to emerge the winner followed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who secured 6,984,520, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) got 6,101,533 votes.
For transparency, the Chief registrar in a statement disclosed that the court is allowing live television broadcast.

“In a bid to promote transparency and openness, these judgments will be televised live by interested Television Stations for the public to follow.

However, the court has cautioned that only accredited individuals, including counsel and representatives of political parties, will be granted access into the Courtroom.
