National Sports Festival: Kaduna Dominates North West Zonal Eliminations

Team Kaduna put up a brilliant performance to pick the highest number of tickets at the Zonal Eliminations for the North West Zone ahead of the National Sports Festival billed for Abuja in December.

Kaduna picked eight out of the 17 tickets available, leaving the other five states to scramble for nine tickets.

Kaduna’s male and female volleyball teams claimed both tickets for beach volleyball.

They also claimed both tickets for handball, and hockey, with other tickets from male cricket and female volleyball.

Kano placed second with five tickets, which includes male and female ticket for Abuja, female football, male volleyball and male para soccer.

Zamfara finished third with two tickets from male and female basketball.

Jigawa and Katsina both picked a ticket each in female cricket and male football respectively.
