Kaduna Unrest: 24-Hour Curfew in Kaduna Metropolis Still in Force

The 24-hour Curfew imposed in Kaduna Metropolis which was relaxed yesterday for residents to restock is still in force.  It came back into effect at 5pm yesterday.

According to the statement signed  by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan which was made available to newsmen, the 24-hour curfew will remain till further notice.

“ The Kaduna state Government  wishes to thank Kaduna residents for the peaceful manner in which they used the four-hour relaxation of the curfew to restock.

“Government urges continued compliance with the curfew as efforts to restore complete calm continues.

“It is a difficult time. Government regrets the inconveniences, but the 24-hour curfew is a necessary measure to save lives and properties.” The statement added.
